Dear Pastors and church leaders,
You’ve been hearing in the news about the horrible attack on a concert venue in Israel and the resulting war. I have seen posts on social media from Christians that oversimplify the situation and which imply that all Palestinians are members of Hamas. That is not true. In fact, some of the people who live in these areas are your brothers and sisters in Christ and in the Free Methodist family.
I asked our Area Director for the Middle East if he had something that he could send me that would help our congregations understand this reality. Here is a link to a video he prepared for a church at his conference. You can download it and show it to your congregation. Also, I have copied and pasted below a plea for the Bishops’ Crisis Response Fund which is supplying resources to help our Free Methodist families in these areas.
