We Wrestle With Not Flesh and Blood part 9
This week we learned that when you already know which side is going to win it changes your approach on how you view and play the game.
One of our problems is that we don't always keep our desires, thoughts and words on God. If we are honest, our desires are being ruled more by our flesh, our thoughts are aligned more with the world, and our words echo more from hell than they do from heaven. Look at what you are addicted to, think about what you dwell on, and listen to what comes out of your mouth.
People who already know who is going to win change their approach on how they view and play the game of life. They are ruled by their spirits, take every thought captive to obey Christ, and speak words of life and not death.
Have you noticed that we tend to freak out and panic when life gets rough? The panic comes from a lack of belief. Maybe you DO believe but started viewing your trial from the perspective of the trial...and not from the perspective of eternity. If you are a child of God you should be viewing this spiritual battle that you are going through from a VICTORY mindset.
"We don't fight FOR victory, we fight FROM victory." - Dr. Shelly Hogan
You are not trying to win the battle because Jesus has already won. Stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Be strong in the Lord and His mighty power.
Isaiah 43:1-3
But now, O Jacob, listen to the LORD who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, “DO NOT BE AFRAID, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; YOU ARE MINE.
When you go through deep waters, I WILL BE WITH YOU. When you go through rivers of difficulty, YOU WILL NOT DROWN. When you walk through the fire of oppression, YOU WILL NOT BE BURNED UP; THE FLAMES WILL NOT CONSUME YOU.
For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, YOUR SAVIOR.
Start viewing your life, struggles, and joys through that lens of victory.
Our worship is our walk. Our walk is our warfare. The Ephesians armore is not just something you do... it's something we wear.
We are to be walking out our faith as we are living. We are to be walking in peace as we are living. We are to be righteous as we are living. We are to manifest the truth as we are living. We’re not supposed to just feel spiritual by just praying the armor of God on us. We are supposed to be portraying our salvation, wielding God's Word, displaying righteousness, operating from peace, flourishing in our faith, and brandishing the Truth. As believers we have already won and you can brag to your enemy that Jesus has already given you the victory.
If we learn to walk in our spiritual armor we may just experience being in more victory parades instead of pity parties! When you learn to stand firm in your joy and victory, then satan cannot attach himself to you. The devil cannot do anything he wants to you anytime he wants... he has to deceive you first. All he can do is whisper or roar in your ear and get you to mentally believe something just enough for you to give in. Satan has no true power. All he has is tricks. If you want to start marching and dancing in more victory parades then walk out your salvation, walk in peace, be righteous and faithful, live in the truth, and speak out the Word of God.
When it comes to a circumstance or trial, God doesn't want you to attack if from the physical realm. God wants you to see it from under his umbrella, and see through his perspective.
You are not a prisoner of war. Walk in victory.
Walking Free by Angel Lutcher and Dustie Dahl
VERSE
No, I ain't no prisoner of war
Cuz You have set the captives free
You broke these chains off of me
Now, I am redeemed (repeat)
CHORUS
So I dance like I believe
I sing like I believe
And I live like I am free
The enemy can't walk all over me ( repeat )
Lord I believe
BRIDGE
Now I fight from victory
So I take these chains off of me
You said you opened those prison doors
Now I'm walking free
CHORUS
So I dance like I believe
I sing like I believe
And I live like I am free
The enemy can't walk all over me ( repeat )
Lord I believe
